Signing up to create a Storyworth Celebration project gives you access to an intuitive dashboard to monitor and manage your contributors. Our platform helps you send invitations and reminders to get stories collected, and we handle compiling everyone’s stories into one cohesive, beautifully-designed book. Our service is carefully crafted to make every step of the process as easy as possible for you and your friends and family.

Why should I choose Storyworth Celebrations? Can I just DIY?

For more than 10 years, Storyworth has provided a simple, streamlined solution for collecting life’s precious memories. We’ve spent a lot of time learning what it takes to put together a project like this. We’ve seen that people struggle with keeping track of multiple contributors and keeping everyone on schedule.

We’ve seen that laying out books is a lot more time consuming than you plan for. We’ve seen that even with all the self-publishing options, it’s hard to find a good quality book that doesn’t quickly get expensive as you add more photos and write more stories. We’ve created and tested software that solves all these problems for you. You and your contributors can focus on writing and finding photos, and we’ll do the rest!

How long will it take to create a Celebration Book?

It depends, but typically we recommend leaving at least 5-6 weeks from starting a Storyworth Celebration project to receiving hardbound copies of the book. Here’s an example timeline:

Collect stories: typically people give 2-4 weeks for others to contribute stories.
Finalize your book: it typically takes anywhere from a couple days to a week to review, edit, and reorder stories to get your book ready for print.
Ship and deliver: depending on your shipping choice (standard vs. express) and location, give 2-3 weeks for the book to be printed, shipped, and delivered.

How many people can contribute?

As many people as you like! Each person can add one piece of writing—a story, advice, memory, etc.—of any length, plus pictures. Books range from 26 to 480 pages for a black and white interior, or up to 300 pages for a color interior. If your book is longer than 480 pages, you can create a 2nd volume.

How much does it cost?

Storyworth Celebrations are free to start. We make it simple and easy for groups of people to collaborate to create a beautiful keepsake book. We provide easy invitations, reminders to contribute, standardized designs for all stories.

You can order books at the end of your project. The pricing for copies of your book is as follows:

$39: Black and white interior, up to 480 pages
$79: Color books, up to 300 pages
$99: Color books above 300 pages, up to 480 pages

What do the books look like?

The books are 6 x 9 inches, similar to what you’d find in a bookstore. The font is Merriweather, size 10. The books can include photos, and can be printed either with black and white interiors, or in color. We have several professionally-designed cover styles to choose from. All covers can be customized with your color choices, photo and title.
